What is a Print?
Fine art printmaking prints are 100% original works of art made by hand- much like a painting. Each one is numbered, titled, and signed by the artist. Do not be confused by the word print, these are not reproductions or images printed by a machine or printer.

How are prints made?
Prints can be done in a variety of ways- intaglio, relief, lithography, etc. An image is carved into a plate (aka a matrix) and rolled up with ink. Paper is then placed on top and pressure is applied by running it through a press or by hand. Pressure transfers the ink to the paper making the final print.

What is an Edition?
An edition is the total number of images produced.
Since printmaking is known as the art of multiples, more than one image or impression of each piece exists. Its up to the artist to determine how many they want to make.

If an image is signed 5/12, that means that is the 5th print out of the set of 12. There will only ever be 12 of that image.

Each piece in the edition is numbered in pencil directly under the image and signed.

How Large are the Editions you Print?
All my editions are 30 or under, and printed in limited edition, so once an edition is sold out its done. I can't make anymore.

What kind of paper do you print on?
100% cotton, acid-free papers

How is the artwork shipped?
Your new original art is packed in a clear cellophane bag, and mailed flat in between cardboard. Larger works may shipped rolled in a tube. All Artwork ships via USPS, and comes insured and with tracking.

Do you ship Internationally?
International Shipping Charges are different then the automatic calculated shipping cost. Before purchasing, please let me know your zip/postal code for an estimated shipping cost.

Do I need to frame my print?
Yes. All work is produced on paper, and I recommend matting and framing the piece to protect it from damage and making it ready to hang.
I can mat and/or frame purchased prints for you (additional framing and shipping charges will apply)

Is the Matboard Acid Free?
Yes! All artwork comes in white acid free matboard with white cores. The surface papers are acid-free, and good for 8-10 years without discoloration.
I've recently added the option to upgrade matboard to Conservation Grade. Conservation matboard is acid-free, lignin-free, and made from 100% alpha-cellulose fibers- Good for 50 years.

Can I customize and commission a piece art?
